This project was very interesting on many levels. First, there was an extensive Information Design phase at the beginning of the project to prototype their navigation structure, organize their content, and determine any custom solutions needed for the site. Once the graphic design phase kicked off, I was informed by my contact that we were to present the site design to the County Board of Supervisors. My Designer, CEO and I traveled to KGC dressed to impress, presented the designs to the board, and were eventually able to steer them in the best direction. The final twist came after the presentation, when my contact’s supervisor announced to the press that the designs were approved and the site was going to launch in less than 6 weeks [remember that there are about 100+ pages that needed to be built at this point].

We burned a little midnight oil, but in the end the Information Design and preliminary Content Management System work paid off and the site was delivered on time and within budget.
