My name is Chris, and I manage the internets.

Welcome to the online home of Chris Konizer. I work as a Product/Porject Manager & Web Strategy Consultant in Charlottesville VA, and play as a musician, amateur photographer, and self professed sci-fi nut [read geek].

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Arts Management from Shenandoah University, with a Minor in Commercial Music and Jazz Studies. After graduation, I spent the next 5 years running a therapeutic group home for emotionally disturbed teens, and interning at a Maryland State rehabilitative hospital. Although I’ve had a computer since 1979,  I finally entered the world of IT as a professional in 1999 and haven’t looked back since.

A Whole Minded thinker, I most recently worked for hotelicopter.com as their Product Manager where I brought a knowledge of leading internet technologies, a keen eye for design, an ability to motivate project team members, and deliver stellar results. The experience that I gained in the therapeutic arena allows me to work well with all types of personalities, and navigate difficult situations with finesse.

My goal with the blog is to observe, comment, and generally throw my 2 cents in on the way people interact with the technological landscape we live in.
